Kangaroo Island Oats are 100% Kowari oat variety and all grains are grown on Kangaroo Island Kowari is a new local oat variety that has been developed with increased levels of beta glucan to help reduce blood cholesterol re-absorption. Kowari has been developed by the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) as part of the National Oat Breeding Program.

Beta-glucan content of 5.2% compared to 4.4% with the Mitika oat variety.
Kowari oats also have high levels of protein and excellent grain quality.
Rolled Oats: To prevent breaking or cracking, the oat is first steamed before being rolled through and then flattened. The end result being a rolled oat – a slightly squashed, round textured oat. You can cook rolled oats over the stove to get a soft, fluffy consistency, or pop them in the microwave with milk or water for a slightly dense and chewy oat.
